  • The DAMON GLOBAL state-of-the-art Fabrication Yard is unique in the Middle East located in Dubai, it has been  custom-built for the construction, assembly and load-out of Offshore and Onshore structures.
  • In addition, permanent space has been allocated for offshore operations support facilities, compounded indoor material, storage,  pipe/sub-assembly workshops and painting activities.
  • DAMON GLOBAL has successfully completed a large number of projects in the Arabian Gulf and India with a wide  range of varying fabrication requirements.
  • The fabrication yard is divided into various workshops i.e. Structural, Piping, Machining, Plates Cutting, Pipe Rolling Mill, Pressure  Vessels, a Piles and Legs station, Assembly area and a Shot Blasting/ Painting area.

HSE DESIGN, CALCULATION & PLAN

Design and calculate HSE discipline lead for engineering projects onshore/offshore. Perform Design HSE activities on  engineering projects e.g. HSE Action follow-up input into Model Reviews and Construct ability & Safety reviews and  classification/develop Fire & Explosion protection philosophies etc.

  • Performs physical effect calculation and emission  calculations.
  • Advise on environmental requirements and technologies.
  • Prepare permit application.
  • Perform HSE  consultancy projects.
  • Prepare man- hours estimates and  proposals.
  • Work accordingly safety standards. 
  • Managing safety, security, health and environment delivery in the offshore oil and gas and/or onshore petrochemical  industries.
  • Developing procedures and process to meet the requirements of  International standards.
  • Reporting requirements and global HSE performance reporting standards.
  • Using advanced  incident investigation techniques and effective report.

installation

DAMON GLOBAL has experience with offshore transportation and installation of  platforms and modules, either through subcontracting to a heavy lift contractor or  through organising all activities such as barges,  tugs, floating sheerlegs or other lifting vessels  and pile driving equipment separately.

In the latter case DAMON GLOBAL staff will manage all interfaces offshore,  with back-up from our own onshore support  organisation.

Construction

Construction activities are predominantly performed in inside conditioned  shops, thus eliminating the influence of weather  conditions.

Through daily co-ordination on the shop floor, the construction managers  ensure that all disciplines involved are able to work in a safe and efficient  manner.

Hook-up and Commissioning

DAMON GLOBAL realises that offshore operations are costly and time consuming. This amplifies the necessity of high  quality commissioning onshore, while the module is still at the  yard.

An experienced team of professional commissioning engineers ascertains that offshore start-up activities are kept to a minimum.  For similar reasons, the feasibility of offshore hook-up is carefully considered during the design and execution of the project.
